WooCommerce Waitlist
Let customers join a waitlist for out-of-stock products and variations. As soon as the product is back in stock, they get an email with a buy button – automatically.
Waitlist form
Shown automatically on out-of-stock products and variations.
Automatic emails
A confirmation after signing up and a back-in-stock email with a buy button.
Double opt-in
Optionally, subscribers confirm their email address before they join.
A waitlist instead of a dead end
When a product is sold out, interested customers often leave and buy elsewhere. With WooCommerce Waitlist they leave their email address instead – right on the product page.
The form appears for out-of-stock simple products and variations. You can change the intro text, the email placeholder, the button text and the privacy text, and adjust the button and message colors to your design.
Where and when the form appears
- Out of stock: for simple products and single variations.
- On backorder: optionally also for products that can be backordered.
- Variable products: optionally always show the form.
- Position: choose the hook and priority on the product page.
- Shortcode: if your theme does not use the standard hooks, place
[woocommerce_waitlist]wherever you like.
Back-in-stock email with a buy button
As soon as the stock of a product or variation goes up again, everyone on its waitlist is notified by email. The email contains a button that leads straight to the product.
A second email confirms the sign-up. For both emails you set the subject, the text before and after the button and the button text – with placeholders such as {{name}} and {{product}}. Logo, sender name, reply-to address and a privacy footer are set once for all emails.
Double opt-in
If you switch on double opt-in, new subscribers first receive an email to confirm their address. Only confirmed addresses are added to the waitlist. Subject, texts and button of this email can be changed as well.
How the waitlist works
Customers sign up on the product page, confirm their email if double opt-in is active and receive an email as soon as the product is available again. You do not have to send anything by hand.
CSV export and FooEvents
CSV export: download all waitlist entries as a CSV file, for example to see which products are in demand before you reorder.
FooEvents: with the FooEvents bookings plugin, the form also appears for booking dates and slots without availability. Optionally, customers are informed as soon as availability changes, regardless of the selected location and date.
