PHP development for custom web applications

When off-the-shelf software doesn't fit, we build your application in PHP: portals, booking and management systems, or integrations between the tools you already use.

Web applications

Customer portals, online planners, booking and management systems – used in the browser, no installation needed.

02

SaaS products

Software you rent to many customers: with tenants, subscriptions, invoices and roles. We run two such platforms ourselves.

03

APIs & integrations

We connect your systems: shop, inventory, CRM, payment providers, accounting or external databases.

04

Legacy rescue

Modernize older PHP projects, move them to current PHP versions, close security holes and document them.

Software that fits your processes

Many businesses run on spreadsheets, email and several tools that don't talk to each other. A custom web application brings these processes together. Your staff and customers use it in the browser – on a desktop, tablet or phone.

We build these applications in PHP with a MySQL or MariaDB database. The code is cleanly structured and documented so it can still be maintained years from now.

Examples from our work

weDance and weGym: our own SaaS platforms

weDance is software for dance schools to manage courses, members, contracts and invoices. We first built it for one dance school and then opened it up as a subscription service for all dance schools. weGym is the same platform for gyms. Both run on PHP, with payments via Stripe and PayPal.

Online funeral planner

For the Pingel funeral home in Lingen we built an online funeral planner. Relatives can put together their wishes calmly from home, for example from the coffin and urn catalogue, and the funeral home receives a structured request instead of many phone calls.

Automatic data imports

For the online shop Dealbird we fetch product data via EAN codes from external databases and import it automatically – saving manual work for every new item.

Security and privacy from day one

Web applications often process personal data. We protect against common attacks such as SQL injection and cross-site scripting, encrypt sensitive data, implement roles and permissions properly and keep data to a minimum. Hosting in Germany is available on request.

How your application is created

Step 1: Understand your processes

We look at how you work today: who enters which data, where errors occur and what costs time. This results in a concept based on your processes, not on a software template.

Step 2: Prototype

For larger projects we first build a clickable prototype, so you see early how the application will work.

Step 3: Development in stages

We develop in manageable steps and deploy every stage to a staging environment. You give feedback before we continue.

Step 4: Launch and further development

After launch, we look after the application, install updates and develop new features as needed.

Typical integrations

  • Hand shop orders over to the ERP automatically
  • Import stock levels and prices from a file or API
  • Connect payment providers such as Stripe or Paddle
  • Generate and send invoices automatically
  • Transfer form data into a CRM

WordPress plugin or standalone application?

Not every project needs its own software. A booking form or members' area can often be built as a WordPress plugin – cheaper and faster. A standalone application pays off when many users, complex permissions or your own business logic are involved. In the intro call we tell you honestly what makes sense.

Frequently asked questions

Find more answers in our FAQ.

Why PHP?

PHP runs on almost every web server, is cheap to host and has a huge developer community. Modern PHP is fast and strictly typed. That keeps you independent – including from us.

Do you use a framework?

It depends on the project. Small applications stay lean without a heavy framework; larger ones get a clear layered structure with automated tests.

Can you take over an application someone else built?

Yes. We review the code, check security and the PHP version and give you a plan: what must be fixed now, what can wait and what should be rebuilt.

Where is the application hosted?

On servers in Germany if you wish. We set up hosting, backups and monitoring or work with your existing host.

How much does a custom web application cost?

That depends on the scope. It often makes sense to start with a lean first version and expand it. After the concept, you receive a fixed-price quote for the first stage.

Do I get the source code?

Yes. You receive the complete source code and all access, so you stay independent – even if another developer continues later.

Who looks after the application after launch?

We do, if you like. We install security updates, monitor the application and develop new features as needed. Thanks to documentation and tests, another developer can take over too.
