Why LinkedIn works so well for B2B

No other platform has professional data as complete and current as LinkedIn. Members keep their job title, employer and industry up to date themselves. For advertisers that means you can address the purchasing manager of a machine builder with 200 to 500 employees – and nobody else.

That precision has a price. Clicks on LinkedIn cost more than elsewhere, so LinkedIn pays off where a single deal is worth a lot and the decision is made by a few people.

Our approach

Step 1: Sharpen the audience

Together we describe your ideal customers: industries, company sizes, regions and the roles of the decision-makers. The clearer the picture, the less waste.

Step 2: An offer with value

B2B decision-makers rarely click "buy now". Offers with a clear benefit work better: a guide, a checklist, a webinar or a free consultation. We develop the right offer with you.

Step 3: Campaigns and forms

We create feed ads, lead gen forms and retargeting audiences and install the LinkedIn Insight Tag on your website – with consent via your cookie banner.

Step 4: Evaluate and adjust

We watch which audiences and ads bring qualified contacts and move budget there. Leads can be forwarded automatically to your CRM or by email.

Ad formats we use

LinkedIn offers several formats. Which one fits depends on whether you want to build awareness, win contacts or receive applications.

  • Single image and video ads in the feed – for reach and recognition.
  • Document ads – readers flip through a guide right in the feed and download it via a form.
  • Lead gen forms – pre-filled with profile data, without a detour to your website.
  • Message ads – personal invitations, for example to a webinar or meeting.
  • Job ads – for skilled people who are not actively looking.

What LinkedIn Ads cost

The cost has two parts: the ad budget you pay directly to LinkedIn, and our management fee. How large the budget should be depends mainly on the size of your audience and on how many other advertisers compete for the same people.

Instead of a flat amount, we calculate backwards before we start: what is a new customer worth, how many conversations do you need for one deal, and what may a qualified lead therefore cost? This gives us a test budget for the first weeks. The ad account belongs to your company – you keep full access to campaigns, audiences and data at all times.

Common mistakes we avoid

Many LinkedIn campaigns fail not because of the platform but because of details. We pay attention to these from day one:

  • The audience is far too broad, such as “all managing directors in Germany”.
  • The ad asks for a purchase or a sales call right away.
  • Lead forms ask for too many fields and put people off.
  • New leads sit untouched for days instead of being followed up quickly.
  • The Insight Tag is missing, so nobody knows which campaign brings enquiries.

LinkedIn as part of the bigger picture

LinkedIn Ads work best together with a strong website. People who see your ad often search for your company on Google afterwards. Good search engine optimization and a convincing website make sure they find what they are looking for.

Frequently asked questions

Find more answers in our FAQ.

Isn't LinkedIn advertising expensive?

Click prices are higher than on Google or Meta. In return you reach exactly the people who decide on contracts. For high-value B2B deals that pays off quickly – for cheap products it usually doesn't.

Which companies is it for?

B2B providers with products or services that need explaining, software and industrial companies, and employers looking for specialists and managers.

What do you need from me?

A LinkedIn company page, access to Campaign Manager and a clear picture of your ideal customers. We handle ads, forms and tracking.

When will I see first results?

As soon as the campaigns are live, you see reach, clicks and form submissions in Campaign Manager. Reliable statements about which audiences and ads work best are possible after a test phase of a few weeks.

Can I target specific companies?

Yes. With a list of target companies, we show your ads specifically to employees of those firms – on request only to certain departments or seniority levels. This is called account-based marketing.

Who owns the ad account?

You do. We set up the account for your company or work in your existing one. You pay the budget directly to LinkedIn and keep all data.

How much budget should I plan?

Because of higher click prices, LinkedIn needs a somewhat larger test budget than other platforms. We calculate in advance what a qualified contact may cost and plan the budget accordingly.
