Knowledge from more than ten years of practice

We have built websites, online shops and plugins since 2010. Over the years we have heard many questions again and again – from clients planning a new shop and from store owners thinking about switching systems. We have collected the answers here.

For help with our plugins, visit the knowledge base.

Our guides at a glance

WooCommerce or Shopify?

Two of the best-known shop systems compared directly: costs over several years, flexibility, legal certainty in Germany and the question of which system suits whom. The guide also names cases in which we would recommend Shopify ourselves.

Moving from Shopify to WooCommerce

A shop migration in seven steps: from the inventory through data transfer to redirects and SEO – with the most important questions to clarify before you switch.

Who our guides are for

Our guides are written for business owners, marketing managers and shop operators who want to make good decisions without being developers themselves. We explain technical terms, show pros and cons and provide concrete checklists.

  • You are planning a new website or online shop and want to understand costs and options.
  • You are considering switching your shop system.
  • You want to assess agency quotes better.
  • You want to know which questions to ask before a project starts.

How our guides are written

We write our guides from practice: from questions clients ask in intro calls, from projects we have delivered and from developing our own plugins for WordPress and WooCommerce. We only state numbers we can back up and mark market values as ranges. On legal topics we explain the basics clearly – but we don’t replace legal advice. Every guide carries a date so you can see how current it is.

Your question isn’t covered?

Then write to us. Many of our guides came from exactly such questions. For technical questions about our plugins, you will find instructions in our knowledge base, and our blog has tips and solutions around WordPress and WooCommerce.

Our topics

The guides revolve around the questions we encounter most often in everyday work: which shop system fits, how a migration succeeds without losses, what a website or shop really costs over several years and which technical decisions matter for search engines. We combine technology, law and economics, because a good decision needs all three perspectives. Where it makes sense, we link to further services and to instructions in our knowledge base.

New guides are written when laws change, new technologies become important or clients keep asking us the same question. Existing guides are revised as soon as something essential changes.

From plugin makers, for shop owners

We have been developing plugins for WordPress and WooCommerce since 2010. Thousands of shops use them, and their questions reach us every day through our support. This gives us a broad view of what works in practice – and what causes problems later. Our guides pass on this experience in a form that is useful without technical background knowledge.

Tools to try

On our service pages you will find short self-checks that help you assess whether a service fits your company – for example for Google Ads, search engine optimization or app development. Tick what applies to you, and you get an honest first assessment.

How to use the guides

Each guide starts with a short answer for readers in a hurry and then goes into detail. Checklists at the end help you apply what you have read to your own situation – for example when comparing quotes or preparing a shop migration. If you get stuck, the contact form at the bottom of every guide reaches us directly, and the intro call is free. We would rather answer a question early than fix an expensive mistake later.
